This is my story.

I visited SBEA when there was a cyclone in the Dominican Republic. I went by St. Monica’s and saw a sign that asked for help with donations. I joined the project and brought all that I collectied to SBEA. By accident, I saw Margarita Torres there who I knew by sight, but not by name. I brought in various donations but I couldn’t direct the program alone, and she came to help me. In this way I came to know SBEA where I went to sign up, I talked to the group, and filled out the forms, and in this way I began as a volunteer.

We’ve been in English classes, computer classes and also nutrition workshops. From there I also clean the classrooms so when people use them, they find everything clean.

Now I am on the Board of Directors and in the walking group.
